    Default hi from holland

My name is Peet and I bought a new Dovo three weeks ago and it made me want to forget about straight shaving after the first shave.Razor burn all over
Three days ago I bought a second hand Razor for 12 dollars.
    Vintage Otto Busch worldmaster.
Good condition although the blade had a slightly damaged bevvel.
I fixed that on my honing stones and love it already.

Smoothest shave I ever had .I shave three passes. No burning feeling after the shave whatsoever.
    Just great.
Now I,m looking to buy a good 3 inch wide strop.
Hard to find here in holland.
All I can find are the narrow ones.

    Peet,

Welcome to Straight Razor Place. Otto Busch Worldmaster is a good razor and you made a good choice. For a strop, try a Torolf from Scrupleworks. I think he is in Norway. Here is a review:

Also, Neil Miller in England makes superb strops:

Hoi Peet. And welcome to SRP.

Now that you know what a good straight feels like, make sure you get that Dovo working to! I love my Dovo .

Welcome to SRP, Peet! I'll second earcutter's prompting to get that Dovo honed up, too. Good luck!

    I just sold my Dovo.
That old Busch razor works perfectly.
    No need to have two.
    Maybe another vintage one.
Amazing how close my shaves are nowadays.Best part is absolutely no razor burn.Three passes with the last one atg and so smooth.

You're gonna regret selling the dovo, boy! And one is none sorry that's my MAD speaking.. Welcome to the forum and where are you from?
