Avant, are you aware of the big meet-up in Ashville on the 26th and 27th? Last I heard Lynn was planning on being there to do demos, and talk honing. I think there are around 50 of us signed up to be there. It would be great to see you there.

Thanked: 7hey Avant ,
im totally new here and have only been straight razoring for about a year . i have been sharpening knives and tools a lot longer than that though .
once honed , i use wooden backed leather bench strops and CrO followed by jewelers rouge .feel i get pretty good results , im still learning too. Ive been told some people use hard backed bench strops regular also . maybe try a bench strop ??
this site is awesome , there is soo much info to learn from !
good luck improving !

Thanked: 1I did purchase the paddle strip from SRD with all required accessories and was able to get my razor back in good condition. My poor stropping technique to begin with did not do so much damage that it could not be fixed without sending it off to get honed so I appreciate everyones advice and help with this. Hate I missed the meet up in Ashville this past weekend but plan to make the next meet up when and wherever it takes place. Thanks gents and have a great week!
