Rookies first day NJ
Good day to start , I imagine... A nice W@B from MrDavid. A beautiful razor and strop. Thanks again, MrDavid ... Only so much reading I can do so I guess it's time to try a pass or two ... The gap from Double edge to straight razor seems like a mile wide ! Once the Kids go to bed , I'll have a go...
wish me luck, please
Peace -

Thank you ! Couldn't get the MWF to lather properly ... Water too warm , I think
Hands a little shaky also ... A couple of short strokes worked on hard spots over bone
But when I tried the cheek , the razor protested a little and wouldn't glide.
So I didn't argue and finished with the D/E.... No blood ! Thanked the razor,
Washed , dried ,oiled and but it to bed till tomorrow .
Not a bad start ?

Welcome, Matt.
You're among good folks here at SRP and plenty of Jersey members who have meets.
Remember, go slow, take care of angle and pressure. Also, don't put too much pressure on yourself. Lynn's April Tips fo Beginners details the very same topic in the "Beginners" subforum.
Every journey is different, but the destination remains the same.
Kind Regards,
Simon
ps-Just saw you second post. Thumbs up on your decision to stop. Sometimes, you'll just have to walk away. Absolutely, no sense forcing things.
