Thanked: 0Hello from Honduras
Hello all. My name is James, and I have been shaving for almost 30 years. Never had a shave with a straight razor until I went to a barber here in Honduras. I am sold. My face never felt this smooth. I am looking for all the information I can get on shaving and to purchase a good razor. Any advice?

Welcome to SRP! Yes, like Pixel says, hang around the site and research as much as you can. This will make your entry into straight razor shaving much less eventful.

Hi James, and welcome to SRP. I searched this forum's library, read threads, and watched videos for about a month, before I bought any thing. SRP helped me starting out, and still is to keep me from getting frustrated in this art of wet shaving with a straight. There is a learning curve, so take it SLOW, and enjoy the journey !!
We have no control of what other people do or say to us, but we have control to how we REACT !! GOD BLESS

Hi and welcome. Most of what you want to know can be found in the library. The search is also great for finding info. Good luck and any questions feel free to ask

Welcome to SRP James!
Yes. What they said. Read, Watch videos, go to our Library. The sticky threads in the Beginners subforum is a good place to start.
Oh, and if someting doesn't make sense(it was all new to me), search, ask, ask, ask. You're among a great group here.
Oh-->Ask before making any hasty moves. Bounce of the forum your ideas for equipment, etc.
