Default Long Time Listener, First Time Caller

I have been lurking here for a few months, having stumbled across the site fortuitously. I shaved daily with a straight razor many years ago, until life events (4 kids, work, sleep) started taking too much time and I had to stick the Dovo in a drawer. I was self-taught and, frankly, I thought I was the only remaining 'home' straight-shaver out there. Last autumn I decided to get upset at the price of cartridges again (that's what drove me to straights all those years back) and found an old Gillette 'safety razor' in an antique store. I bought some blades and I was set, but then the Dovo started whispering to me in my sleep along with a couple of my Grandad's old straights. And here I am.
I sent my razors to Glen (gssixgun) for cleaning, honing, and cosmetics and they are back--all purty and sharp! Had my first full-face straight razor shave last week and really enjoyed it. Glad to be here and take advantage of the experience pool.

Welcome in and back to it,

Glen does some amazing work so you should fully enjoy those.

As you have been poking about for a bit I will skip the formalities, so jump on in the lather is fine.

Welcome to SRP, I am sure it feels great to be back in the saddle.
Why doesn't the taco truck drive around the neighborhood selling tacos & margaritas???
