    Default Hello from western Pa.

    Hi all,
Recently got interested in the wet shave. Have been using an electric for years and kind of going over it the shower with a double or triple blade disposable. I forgot how good a DE shave feels. I recently sent off a straight razor for honing and I wanted to try it out. Also, just bought a Boker off E Bay and will see how that feels. I bought a shavette (Parker) and really can't say I have had real good luck with it. Fortunately, the human body has about 7 pints of blood. I hope to learn a lot.

    Inspector, Welcome to SRP.
This video might be useful with both straight razor and shavette.

Welcome if you can shave with a shavette effectively they give you an excellent result! Keep with it. I found it to be a pretty easy transition from shavette to straight once I had a sharp straight razor
What a curse be a dull razor; what a prideful comfort a sharp one
