    Hello. My name is Mark. Not only am I new to straight razor shaving, but this is the first time I have ever signed up for a forum, so I hope that I am getting this right! I've been thinking about going to a straight razor for a long time, as I am fed up with paying the high cost of cartridge razors. What a ripoff! I just received my first real straight razor, a Dovo Astrale from Straight Razor Designs, along with a strop and accessories. It's a beautiful razor with its black ivory wood scales, and a lot lighter than I was expecting. Got the Lynn Abrams DVD World of Straight Razor Shaving and am looking forward to my first straight razor shave!
