Thanked: 0Greetings from Massachusetts!
Hey guys!
First off, thank you! All the info found in this forum made my first straight razor purchase that much better. I recently purchased (today) my first straight razor from SRD, the new Ralf Aust 5/8 full hallow. The strop I purchased from TM along with a learner strop. Along with the razor I also go the sample pack of SRD soaps. Looking forward to learning and getting the smooth shave. Currently, I use a DE razor but I'm excited to start using the straight razor. I've been watching lots of videos especially those made by Lynn to get things right. If you have any suggestions or important pointers you'd like to pass on to me, I'd love to hear it!
Cheers,
Larry

Welcome to SRP! Glad to see you doing research here. Be sure to also check out Glen's (gissixgun) videos too. It's easy to spend hours here. Enjoy the journey!

Larry, Welcome to SRP!
You are on the right path, my friend. As stated before, don't forgo Glen (gssixgun) videos.
Also, consider that you may need more than one razor as part of the learning process. Maybe, an ugly duckling, but all shave edge from Whipped Dog.
Regards,
Simon
