    Default Hello from Chicago

Here to hopefully find some info about a straight razor I bought last summer in a small town in Oregon and just received in the mail from my friend. (another post about that incoming) Also hope to send it away to somebody to have it looked at and restored a bit. I haven't shaved in years and currently have just been using an electric trimmer to make my manager happy. Hopefully will find a way to make myself happy using this or possibly another razor.

    Hi!

Wet shaving with either a straight or a double edge safety razor can be a great experience, especially if you approach it from the "zen" standpoint. It's a great way to spend some time away from the rush of everyday life and spend some time on yourself.

    Hope you enjoy the ride!

Hi and welcome. Stick around and read a bit and you'll see for us shaving is no longer a chore but something to look forward to. If you do want to restore or get the razor honed check out the member services here. Good luck and any questions feel free to ask.
