Thanked: 485About once a week or so I shave at my 'shaving stand' in my bedroom with a porcelain bowl, jug and soap holder; I think the set may be called a 'water set'. Of course I have running water in the house; and I fill the jug from the hot water tap; but if I had no running water I'd use rain water and heat the water on the slow combustion stove. I really like this 'fundamental' way of shaving and it really 'mixes things up' a bit for me; even the rather dim light changes things. I find I need to concentrate more when shaving int he bedroom just because of the different light and smaller space of the shaving stand.
The shaving stand itself is really just an antique oak table with the antique (or vintage) bowl on top. I empty the bowl at the end of the shave on the front door step. I wipe the razor on a hand towel. I do find i need to take a little more care not to splash water on the walls, too
Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Thanked: 0Nice. Like the side mirror of the truck. I've given myself a few haircuts that way, it works if you like the spikey and irregular look :-)
