Greetings gents.
Finally getting around to this. My name is Niko and I'm about a month in to straight razors. I am loving every shave regardless of nicks or cuts as it isn't just about the shave. Anyway, I'm hoping you guys can help me find a local hone meister so I don't need to send out my razor and wait weeks on end. I'm in the Virginia beach area. Welcome to SRP. As already mentioned check the member services section in classifieds for some help with honing. I don't personally hone my razors "yet". I eventually plan to though. For now I have a 8 straight rotation an a large number of DE's. I have found that when one needs honed having the others takes the place till the work is complete. Either way good luck an hope you find a mentor locally.

welcome and unless you send it to someone that isn't reputable time frame is very short , I send mine all the way to no mans land and get mine back in a week, I have plenty of razors so no big deal but you don't have to worry about that,, and everyone is right you have people right there with you in va good luck tc
