    Cool Hello From Florida

Hi, everyone names Ed and yep I'm from central Florida. I'm a new guy and this is my first post, I've always been interesrted in shaving with a straight and since i was laidup from work for over a month I thought it would be a good time to start. Got my starter kit from Straight Razor Design (great people) got a great Dovo Best Quility and I love it my wife also loves the shaves. Of course working on technique and searching for that perfect shave.

Welcome EdwinM. I hope you are taking advantage of all the wikis and videos on this site. I can't stress enough to take it slow and easy in getting started. Learn lather building, mapping your face for better shaves and proper stropping. There are a heck of a lot of members in Florida and a number of them are Mentors. Search one out and get some one-on-one sessions with him. Beats hours of reading and viewing. Take you razor with you and have him show you how to maintain a shaveable edge.
