Sounds like a very minor problem.
Check out what Glen (GSSIXGUN) did for my great grandfather's W&B:

To say that I highly recommend Glen would be an understatement! Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdin’s cave of 'stuff'.

Thanks, it's definitely a minor issue but the razor is nowhere near shave ready, and since I haven't even had my first shave yet, I don't think trying to hone it on my own for him is a great idea.

Thanked: 3225For honing service a little closer to home Phil at Services has put some fine edges on a couple razors of mine. I know Phrank has used the services of Val at The Gentlemen's Den for honing and restorations. You might want to PM Phrank about Val's services which I have not used.

Thanks Phrank, I'll get him to send it off to one of them. Are there any members in the Ottawa area who might be willing to give me a stropping/honing tutorial?

Hi, and a belated welcome to SRP!
Could you get some pics of your friend's blade? If it just needs a bit of polish and a hone I can take care of that for you no charge. But if it needs more attention, then yes, the classifieds are the place to look. If you want to avoid shipping it out of the country, check out classicedge.ca. I haven't used his services but have heard good things.
Good luck!
It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.
