    Default Hi all!

Hi all! I'm from the San Francisco Bay Area. And I'm totally entranced by the idea of using a straight razor. Really glad I had the dumb luck to stumble along this site. Already it's been a treasure trove of information!
    Cheers!

Enjoy the site. There is a lot of expertise and experience to draw upon.

Have you started shaving with a straight razor yet?

Welcome from the Volunteer state. You will find that the Wiki and the library are your best friends as far as information goes. If you can't find your answer in those locations then feel free to ask, we are more than willing to help. There are several members in your area that meet up on a regular basis, if you can get together with them for "mentoring" that will make the learning process go a lot smoother. There are a few areas that you need to concentrate on, that is mapping your face, lathering, shaving and stropping. Learn those fundamentals and you will enjoy a new passion.

    Hello dean,
Welcome, have you got any ideas on the equipment you need or would like? Let us know a budget and we can probably steer you on the right course.
