    Default Hello All

    Hi everyone,

While not completely new to "Wet shaving" I am only a month into shaving with a straight, the learning curve is long but so far, worth all the time.

Welcome to the most friendly, helpful and informative site on the web!!

You will find members here of all different backgrounds, ages and occupations from all corners of the world and all with a quest for more knowledge about using and maintaining a straight razor!

If you take the time to search, 99.9% of your questions can be found in the Library (WIKI) however feel free to ask us about whatever it is that you are wondering about or having a problem with. It does help if you’ve done some research before hand so it narrows the problem down a bit.

If I can be of personal help please feel free to contact me. I would add that if you can include your whereabouts it would be helpful as an experienced member may be just down the road!

Well said cudarunner. Welcome. There is a ton here to read if you are the silent type and lots of discussions if you are looking for those. A ton of knowledge all the same.

While I have never been accused of being a silent type, I do have a lot of reading to do here.

Good for you for planning on taking the time to do some research :

There is a thing called a 'Meet' a meet is where your fellow straight razor users or other wet shavers get together and share knowledge. If you can make one in your area you will learn more in a few hours than you can reading or watching videos for months! Trust me as I speak from experience! I learned more in the few short hours at the meet than I can can tell you.

I do hope that there will be members in your area and I hope they chime in.

    Welcome to SRP!

Be careful in the Library, it's a black hole that can pull you into reading for hours at a time.

Welcome. Ask all the questions you want, answers will be forth coming be they correct or not is all subjective and some times just plain silly.

Welcome to SRP. This place can shorten the learning process significantly. Read on sir. Some of us learned by destroying things like are strops, wallets, razors and faces then thought to help others avoid our mistakes

And then there are the videos! This can become an obsession, but a great one with great people!
