Welcome to SRP Scott. A lot to read, a lot to watch and a lot to ask. We are here for all your questions. I know there are not any Mentors in Georgia at this time, but there are experienced senior members that, if you contact them, will be more than happy to arrange a one on one meeting if possible where you can learn a heck of a lot more than just reading and watching. I'm not familiar with where everything is in Georgia. How far are you from the Atlanta area. There are several members there that could help. Go to the membership section and under advanced search put in Savannah, GA and see who comes up. If no one, re enter surrounding towns and try Atlanta also. Check to see who the senior members are ans PM if yhou wish and see what develops.

I stopped using the gold dollar razor and I have been running it over the strop to get the feel down. Ordered a razor from Larry at whippeddog.com and it should be here soon. From what I understand this one should be truly shave ready and I'll update after I get it.
