Default Just joined and I'm looking for a straight razor to purchase! My first one.

I've hated shaving ever since peach fuzz first grew on my upper lip. I'm ready to enjoy it. An article I read online mentioned I could purchase a straight razor from here. How do I do that?

    Thanks

Hi George, click on the classifieds link, then go to razors, there is usually a reasonable selection, if you see something you like message the seller explaining that 8th is your first razor and they should let you know if it will suit.

If not, click on one of the advertisers around the edge of the page, in particular Straight Razor Designs, Vintage Blades, LLC or Classic Edge. Thy carry new razors, but many of the members here sell well cared and/or restored for vintage razors, usually in the classified section (Main Index - Straight Razor Place Classifieds).

Larry at WhippedDog.com has the best prices around, you can get a good, serviceable, shave ready razor with a strop, soap and brush for around $50. Granted, if you buy a "sight unseen" razor it may not be pretty but it will open the door for you to SR shaving.

Hi and welcome. There are plenty of places to purchase your first razor. The main things are buying from a reputable dealer and that it is hand honed to shave ready. If unsure of the vendor do a search here or ask and we will help you out. Good luck and any questions feel free to ask
