    Default Newbie here from Texas

    Greetings and salutations gentlemen. I plan on taking the leap soon to straight shaving and I am looking forward to delving into all this site has to offer. I have picked up a few straights so far but all are far from shave ready, well one wouldn't take much but all things in due time.

    Get the razors professionally honed and start shaving. There are several honers in the classified section here.
    Check out the Library to learn how to start using a razor.

    And then be surprised that shaving is an enjoyable experience and not just a chore.

    By including your actual area in your profile would make it much easier for someone with more experience to be able to help you. Trust me, hands on learning can't be beaten.
