Thanked: 0introduction
Hello everyone, I'm Cody. I've just recently found an interest in straight razors. I'm looking for any information other members can teach me, and point me in the right direction for straight razor shaving.
Signed, Cody

Thanked: 14Welcome! I'm new to straights, too, as I've just acquired my first straight (I say first, because based on how many DE and SE razors I have, I'm sure 1 won't be enough!). Start with the beginners forum. There is some great reading there that will help get you started.
Are you also new to wet shaving, or just straights?

Hey gents. Welcome!
As AZBronco mentions, the beginners forum is a great start. Look to the Library section too. Great place to start.
Again, welcome.David

Cody, welcome to SRP. For a faster read that can lead you to points in more detail do a good read of the FAQ's. Plus, you being in Houston you are where the action is in your part of the state. I suggest you look up Sharptonn and send him a PM. He has a fascinating collection, is a Mentor and can give you face-to-face sessions that beat all the heck out of reading and watching videos. He also hosts little get together's every so often so you could meet other straight razor shavers in the area.

Cody, Welcome to SRP! Lots of good advice given to you so far. I won't throw a wall of text at you but I will recommend you start browsing through Straight Razor Place Library - Straight Razor Place Library and Beginner's guide to straight razor shaving - Straight Razor Place Library. Great reading and will probably answer a large part of your questions.
