    Default Newbie From Michigan

I've just recently found an interest in straight razors. I thought it would be a more interesting and unique way of shaving. I just purchased a Ralf Aust 6/8 straight on srd along with all of the other essentials and I hope they get here soon. From what I've seen, all of the members here are helpful and reliable and I plan on being and doing the same for new members in the future.

Owen, Welcome to Straight Razor Place.
My first razor was a Ralf Aust from SRD. It sounds like you are staring off with good gear.

Welcome to SRP Owen. You're off to a great start & don't stop there. Do like criswilson10 said & go to the Beginner's Section in the Library & go from there. You'll be ok! You might want to get you a spare to start off with for when you send one out to be honed, you won't be left w/o. It'll take awhile but you'll get used to it. Just follow a few easy rules & everything will fall into place. Good to have you on here!

Great call on finding a mentor tintin. I would be willing to help out if you are any where near Jackson.
