Thanked: 0Just starting in Kentucky
Hey everyone. I've been reading the site for a while and finally joined. I'm used to DE shaving but just purchased my first straight razor. Excited to get started.

Thanked: 8Welcome, straight shaving is great when everything goes well and this is a great site to help keep it smooth. The people here are really helpful and seem to be glad to share their hard won wisdom with the rest of us. Don't hesitate to ask questions if you hit a snag.

Thanked: 0I'm out of Richmond. I got a Wade and Butcher that's in good shape and a Poor Man's strop. Definitely taking it slow, but I gotta say, it's quite a rush shaving with a straight.

Thanked: 7Nice! Go slow and enjoy. It actually isn't that hard, but is something you build into. Still haven't had a perfect shave, but I've had plenty with no nicks and little to no irritation, and most were better than my cartridge shaves and all more enjoyable!
