Welcome to SRP!
I'd take 10Pups up on his offer, you can't beat a one on one session with an experienced shaver. Some people never go crazy. What truly horrible lives they must lead - Charles Bukowski

Hi and welcome. 10pups offer is a great one. You likely won't have much luck without a lot more practice and knowledge and it will let you start on the right foot with a shave ready razor. Sure he would help you with straight shaving in general and definitely reduce the learning curve. Do plenty of reading especially in the library and any questions feel free to ask. Good luck
