So if or rather when I nick the strop it is still usable right? At what point would it not be?

I bought the poor man's strop from whipped dog for $19. I've nicked it twice and it's still gives my blade an edge just fine. I plan to get a nicer strop about Christmas time.

Yeah I thought about doing that. However I decided I am gonna do the SRD razor and strop deal. As far as I am aware you can change the leather and fabric on the strops so to me thats a huge plus.
