Thanked: 26Hello from Sunderland UK
Hi folks
my name is steve, straight razor rookie, in the last 2 days i think i have destroyed my first strop and and found out that "shave ready" does not mean shave ready. So i thought maybe it would be a good idea to ask a few questions before leaping in head first again, and as there are already some helpful topics here, it seems the perfect place to say hi and have a nose about.

Thanked: 375Hello Steve,
Good to have you here! You need to look here ----> Straight Razor Place Library - Straight Razor Place Library
And if your not sure ask, I'll bet you will get an answer quickly.
Send your razor out to be honed, quite a few people here who could do that for you I believe and even may be close byCHRIS

Thanked: 375I was just reading your other post, about the invisible edge. I can't speak from experience but they've been around for some time. If your budget allows I would check out Michael Waterhouse straight razors. His straight razors are available directly from him or from the Traditional shaving company. If your interested there is a thread/club of Mr. Waterhouse razors here http://straightrazorpalace.com/razor...stom-club.html
Believe he is located in IlkleyCHRIS

Hi and welcome. If unsure of vendors use the search as most of the time you can get information about them. Use a reputable dealer and you will be fine. Good luck and any questions feel free to ask
My wife calls me......... Can you just use Ed
