Thanked: 0New from toledo ohio
Hey everyone!
So I was given my grandpa's old straight razor and immediately knew I wanted to do this. I was hoping that someone would know of a shop around the toledo Ohio area where I can purchase things and get this razor sharpened again. I know I can get everything taken care of online, but I prefer interacting with people in person if that's at all possible. I'll keep searching the forum of course and hope to find what I need though. In the mean time, nice to meet you all! Glad to be here.

Welcome to SRP!
Straight Razor Designs is located in Medina, OH - about 2 hours away. I can't think of a better place to start. Maybe there are others that someone else can suggest.
Make sure you check out the beginner's section in the library. If you have any questions, just ask. Some people never go crazy. What truly horrible lives they must lead - Charles Bukowski

Hi and welcome. If Srd is close that is definitely the place to start and I'm sure that you can pick up a lot of information while there. Do check out the library and any questions feel free to ask

welcome to a fellow Ohioan! Maggard razors in Adrian Mi. is a nice little shop and is a little closer than SRD. they have a good selection of soaps and brushes and also offer sharpening and restoration services. i'll be glad to offer the little bit of knowledge and experience that i've been gaining if you can't find any more experienced help closer.

Thanked: 0Thanks guys! That is a little further than I was hoping, but its still not that bad. I will have to check them out sometime this week. I will want to get it sharpened before I do any shaving, but I'll see what I can learn. If anyone has any suggestions as well, I wouldn't complain. Haha!
Thanks again everyone!
