Thanked: 2hi!
i just purchased my first 2 straight razors; i thought it would be nice to have something to compare. they are both restored vintage razors; a henckels and a geneva. i'm a leather worker, so making a strop shouldn't be too hard. i guess my next step will be lurking the forum for info on soaps and balms etc...
k well
smooth shaving everyone!

Welcome aboard! As you said, strops shouldn't be an issue for you. Please take a moment and make sure your razors are shave ready! This is probably the most important aspect of starting on the straight razor journey.

Welcome to the forum.
If I'm not mistaken, I believe there may be a couple of threads on here about soaps and balms
Seriously, any questions you have probably already have several threads here for the finding. Or, you can ask questions and the gentlemen (and ladies) will be more than happy to help.
Don't be afraid to participate - it can be a lot more fun than lurking! (Well, on the forum, anyway )
