    Default Hello from Asia

    Hi!

I've been using a DE since early 2012 and want to add a straight to the mix. I got a Thäter from SRD before and that visit got me curious about straight edges.

    Glad to be here.

Hello and welcome. If you haven't read all you can in the library I would suggest that as a start. The main point of all starts with a straight razor are " Shave ready" . Should be as sharp as those blades your buying now only it should feel better and the trade off is maintenance vs cost . I haven't used my DEs much but I can say I like the straights more.

    Welcome to SRP!
Read all you can and then decide if you wish to use a straight razor. Read, especially, Brands to avoid!
Brands of Straight Razors to Avoid - Straight Razor Place Library
    Good shaves to you!

Welcome to SRD! SRD sells pre-honed blades and has a great reputation. You may also look in the classified here Main Index - Straight Razor Place Classifieds for members selling some of their collections. Can usually snag a good deal.
