Thanked: 14Hello from Asia
Hi!
I've been using a DE since early 2012 and want to add a straight to the mix. I got a Thäter from SRD before and that visit got me curious about straight edges.
Glad to be here.

Thanked: 1184Hello and welcome. If you haven't read all you can in the library I would suggest that as a start. The main point of all starts with a straight razor are " Shave ready" . Should be as sharp as those blades your buying now only it should feel better and the trade off is maintenance vs cost . I haven't used my DEs much but I can say I like the straights more.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Welcome to SRP!
Read all you can and then decide if you wish to use a straight razor. Read, especially, Brands to avoid!
Brands of Straight Razors to Avoid - Straight Razor Place Library
Good shaves to you!

Welcome to SRD! SRD sells pre-honed blades and has a great reputation. You may also look in the classified here Main Index - Straight Razor Place Classifieds for members selling some of their collections. Can usually snag a good deal.
