I figure in another 6 months or so it will have paid for itself. A cake of shaving soap seems to last longer than that foam in a can or foaming gel junk too. Now that I've seen the light I can't imagine why we ever strayed away from a good straight. The only downside is the learning curve really.
It's not bad. It's a learning thing but a fun one. You learn a lot & in the long run, you won't have razor burn. You're better off & get a closer shave.
