Thanked: 0jack
I am new to this site. I probably just missed it but can anyone advise me where to get a new straight razor honed. I purchased on line and it was supposed to be a "shave ready" razor. It obviously is not. I live in the Philadelphia area and can send to be honed. Any advice?

Welcome Jake!
I know this make seem like a sophmoric question, but, given evidence not in hand, has the razor been stropped? Did you follow the SRP guide to buying straights? What razor did you get and can we see a pic?

Hi Jack & welcome to the site. I would be willing to do the same for you but since Trimmy72 offered first then he gets first chance at it. Either way, each of us can send it back to you shave ready. Good to see you here, it's a very good place to be a member of. I hate when people say one is shave ready & isn't. I know when you got it, it had to be a disappointment. Please feel free to pm me but like I said, Chris offered first but the offer stands. Good luck my friend.

jack, it is easier if you "reply with quote" then we know who you are talking to, it would be worth taking trimmy up on his offer, i am sure he would be able to give you some shaving and razor care tips too
