Thanked: 0Hello from Indiana
Hello from Indiana. A little about my wet shaving journey. I got started wet shaving years ago. After my Gpa passed away I found his Gilette DE razor as we were going through things. I eventually ended up learning to shave with it after becoming frustrated with the cost of cartridge shaving. I initially signed up on badger and blade and have loitered here for years. B&B got me started and I really enjoyed shaving with my Gpa's razor. However, I still was bothered by having to rely on a supply chain for my preferred tools for shaving, mainly the blades. So I thought, buy a straight buy a hone and shave for a lifetime. I have currently been shaving with a straight for about nine months and still have so much more to learn. I know I just signed up here but one of the reasons it took so long is that everyone is just too nice and helpful. Every time I think I have a question or problem I would need help with I just do a search and the SRP website would come up in the results. I kept coming back and everyone was so nice to all the new people and everyone in general. I don't think at this point I have much to contribute but I hope to change that in the future. So I guess it was about time, thank you to all the mods and the founders who have been very helpful. Hope to see more of you in the future.
Adam

You being a member with your experience is enough of a contribution. Chip in with your questions and personal experience and one (or lots) of us will learn from it. Welcome,
Just call me Harold

A big warm welcome to SRP Adam. It looks like you got a head start on thins & hope they are doing well. I hope you have learned to strop which is the most important thing. You can learn the hones later but if you already know that too, then you are well ahead of the game but there is very much to learn here. Please ask questions as you think of them & they will be answered accordingly. There are very many knowledgable people here. I haven't hardly spent any time on Badger & Blade & I'm not a member there but a good friend of mine is. He likes that one better than this one for reasons unknown. I have gone there to have a look & I like the looks of SRP much better plus I have met many friends here & all are very nice, understanding & respectful. I have also learned a lot here. I hope you continue to learn here & utilize the posts & Library as much as possible. I think you will enjoy it here much more.
If you have any questions, again, please ask or pm me & I will help as much as possible!
Good luck my friend!
