    Default Greetings From Kentucky

    I am new to the Forum, but I am not new to edged blades. I have been wet shaving for several years and recently I decided to try my hand at straight razor shaving. I have several straight razors and pulled a couple of them out of storage. The first one is a Wade and Butcher "Bow" razor 6/8 with black horn scales, which is in excellent condition and will most likely be my main every day razor. Second is a Genco Master Barber 4/8, which is in good shape but it appears to have some toe wear. Both razors are carbon steel and have full hollow grinds.

    I have already used the Forum to research razor data and to search for soap and strop recommendations. Thanks for all the useful information! I suppose that my next task will be to find someone that can professionally sharpen these razors, since I currently don't have the stones for this process. Thanks for letting me be apart of your Forum. I hope to be able to contribute in some way.

    Regards;
    Lex

    If your live near Richmond Ky contact Dennis At Dennis's Barbershop. He can put a nice edge on your razors.
