Thanked: 0Greetings from KC!
Wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. The name's Matt, and I hail from Kansas City, MO. Obviously I'm new to the wet shaving uproar, but after countless hours of "research", its time to take the plunge! I've decided to skip safety razors, and go straight to...well...straight razors. Hoping to learn all I can about the skill. Any and all input is welcome, and I hope to perhaps network with experienced wet shavers in my area! I'd really be interested in finding a mementor to help me get started. Thank you all, and Iook forward to this new experience. Cheers!!

Hi, Matt! Welcome to Straight Razor Place.
You are in an area full of SRP members. Also, there are meetups quite frequently so hopefully you will be able to find a mentor easily.

The member's name in red on that list is the area's Mentor. Contact him for a face to face session or two on the fundamentals to get started and the pitfalls to avoid. Also, do keep reading in the Library. The combination of the two will put you miles ahead in gaining mastery in straight razor shaving.
