Salut Yanick, and welcome to SRP!
Congrats on taking the plunge and deciding to enter the brotherhood of straight shavers.
Do you know if your razor was properly honed by the seller? If not, be sure to get it done properly before you try to use it. Having a truly shave-ready razor makes a world of difference. In the meantime, you have found an excellent source of information here. Read lots, and if you have questions, just ask!
It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Thanked: 0Thanks , yes the razor is said to be shave ready .I'm a knife fanatic also , so if the blade is not ready I'll get it honed before I start.

While I don't know anyone in your corner of the province, if you ever head down to Montreal, get in touch with SRP member Badgister. Zayid's a great guy and will steer you right.
