    Default Howdy from the'Ville!

Louisville KY y'all! A friend on another Forum (EDCForums.com) gave me a straight razor, some sand papers & strop, and lots of other goodies, but I have been a slow starter.
In an effort to make the most of his generosity I decided to seek out "professional help" (thats y'all! )

    Thanks for having me!

Was just reading about the pre-shave and posted this:

Perhaps I shall experiment with a hot towel next.
...but I wanted to expand on it and thought it might derail the thread, so here's the rest....

I think I hold the blade at the wrong angle. It feels to me like I'm pulling the hair, rather than cutting it. I'll tell you why I think I might have the angle wrong...I say a different angle used on Red Reddingtton on the last Blacklist. Rofl

    Anyway...thats why I'm here...to learn.

If you know of any threads that'll help me out please share a link

    Thanks!

Make sure your using a truly SHAVE READY razor. The tugging you feel could be because of this.
ps...I was happy to see The Blacklist. Although the technique was iffy...

Welcome to the forum. +1 on making sure your razor is shave ready. Check the classifieds or seek out a local member to help hone your razor. Secondly, it could be your lather, if too dry could also cause tugging.
