Get those heirlooms honed, possibly by a pro if you can't do it yet & only use them, IF you do, on special occasions & use the others for everyday use. Unfortunate things happen sometimes & it always has to happen to the special ones where you might accidentally drop it or bump it into the fucet, chipping the blade. Be very careful with those!
