Thanks! Yeah, brands I spent time researching how to buy vintage razors. I'm pretty sure I didn't pick any duds.. Well, there are two I'm skeptical about, the Oxford warranted because I don't know much about it and the simmons hdwe co because it may have a crack where the heel meets the tang. It may be a deep scratch, but I don't know. I snagged it because it brought the price of the Joseph Rodgers down immensely ;-).

Are any of the brands I mentioned better than others? I figure I have enough to pick a few different ones for rotation. My guesses based on research are the Joseph Rodgers and sons, the Wade and butcher, the le grelot, the J.A Henckles, and the genco (heard it was from case knives). I'd like the Whitehead to be a nice blade because it's American. Any other tips and info would be appreciated!

Most that you mentioned are really good razors. The Rodgers, W&B, Henckles are probably the most sought after. Genco is a good razor, I don't think it is from Case. Here is a link to the SRP DBase.

Here is the Good Razor List. I hope the info helps.

I live 3.5 hourss from you. As a matter of factfact, I just left Reno for home.
Did the antique shop thing in Carson City & Reno. Fund a At Ta Boy, Satin Wedge Dbl. Duck, & an Anchor. Wasn't willing to haggle.

Lethal, where was the anchor? Was it any good? Was it a wedge?
