As has been mentioned if they are not Truly Shave Ready then you are wasting your time and that's more than likely the reason for the redness on you face.
While they aren't in the Classifieds I know of a couple of members who may hone for you and they are at least fairly close to you.
Give me a PM and in the meantime I'll see if I can get a hold of them in advance for you.
Don't give up hope! It's a long strange trip but well worth the journey
