Thread: Greetings from Italy

Hello everybody,
I am Duccio, I write from Milano.
I have started shaving with a straight razor a few weeks ago. With the exception of a bad accident occured to the index of my left hand (yes, straight razors are very sharp :-), everything seems to go very well. I discovered a new way to take a time just for myself, and it's nice to see improvements day by day.
At the moment, my tools are a wonderful solingen focus 6/8, a vintage john nesbitt 5/8, a vintage Y.S.C. silversteel 5/8, a vintage (and a little bit weary...) kropp 5/8. I'm also trying to learn the secrets of honing: i own a coticule, a candia stone (from the island of Crete) and a misterious stone, coming from england (i will ask you something about that pretty soon :-).
