Thanked: 1Greetings from Norway
Hello straight shavers!
I am 36 and I hated shaving for the most of my life.
In 2013 I was traveling in India and had my first ever wet shave done for a mere 100 rupees or so. My fear was very real when the barber put his cutthroat knife on my neck... I survived and enjoyed the smoothest result ever. The seed had been planted and finally last October I bought my first set including Muhle R89 with few blades, cream, brush and aftershave.
Some time later I bought the Bluebeards revenge shavette on impulse and liked it so much that I wanted to learn to handle a real straight razor. It was all good and nice until somewhere around shave #10 I lost the edge. Members on the b&b forum suggested that my razor needs a hone. I am thinking I need to learn to shave and strop before learning the art of honing.
All information about a honemeister in Norway will be gratefully accepted. I've located a few in other countries but it's very cumbersome to mail because of customs border.

Velkommen.
