Welcome and as the above posted, sorry to hear about your first razor, but try the classifieds, straight razor designs.com , whippeddog.com. it won't be purrdy but cheap and will shave before you drop a tone of cash

Hi and welcome. As said start with a shave ready razor. If you want to hone meet with someone local and they can show you how to do it properly amd speed up the learning curve. Many people come from sharpening background and find frustration trying to hone a razor correctly. It looks easy enough but will take a while and practice to learn. Good luck and any questions feel free to ask

I am pretty sure that blade was made in China.
As stated, it will not take a edge.
@Firstcut
I am 20 miles south of Milwaukee. If your next purchase is not shave ready I will hone it for you. If you get one from the classifieds ask if it is shave ready. Most sold by the members should be ready to go.If you don't care where you are, you are not lost.

Welcome. Sorry about your first str8 (RSO) but hold on to it. Years down the road when youve mastered your honing skills take a wack at it for fun and see what you can do with it.
I did that with one and is in my rotation. Its suprisingly smooth to shave with.
