Default UK - Manchester - Big Hi

Hi all, I've been full on with a Dovo for a few months now and am a total convert. I learnt quickly not to rush and not to expect BBS straight away. In fact I have come to learn using a straight is far more than that anyway!

I'm off to post my first question...

    [posted it now... http://straightrazorpalace.com/honin...ml#post1514124 ]

    Take care folks.

    Mike

Welcome to SRP Mike, the best razor forum around & you will find many knowledgable folks here so if you have any questions, just ask. About the nick, I saw it & if you are not good at honing that well yet, it might be best to send it out to a pro IMHO.
    Good luck my friend!

Hi and welcome. Unless you know how to hone send your razor out and get a cheaper one to practice on if you want to learn. Chances are you will loose a lot of metal before you get the knack of it. Good luck and any questions feel free to ask

That is so correct. A lot of metal can be lost & it would be in your best interest to buy a cheaper one to practice honing should you decide to do so. I usually mention that but I forgot. Thanks to eddy79 he brought it up!

Welcome Mike, just looked at your razor with a chip that's pretty straight forward for someone who knows what they are doing, but as this is your only razor and you have no previous honing skills then get your razor honed by a Pro.
