Thanked: 6Greetings from Seattle
Greetings from the land of good football, pretty good futbol, and mediocre baseball!
I converted from years of electric shaving to a DE about 6 months ago, and loved it so much I decided to try SR shaving about 3 months ago. I started with a Dovo Bismarck, which I liked very much. After a few months with the Bismarck, I picked up a TI Sheffield with a French point so I'd have a second razor for when the Bismarck was off being honed. My first shave with the French point, I predictably jabbed it into my neck and thought I was going to have to sideline it. But I gave it another try and it has since become my favorite of the 2!
I still can't seem to effectively shave my mustache area or around the corners of my mouth, which seem to be paper thin, even with a DE. I even grew a goatee for a while (which is why I picked up the French point) so I wouldn't have to deal with it, but that got uncomfortable. So, I reluctantly have to pull out the electric a few times a week just to get above the lip and around the corners of the mouth. Hopefully, I'll get past that some time down the road.
I see that there's a meet up planned mid-Septemer in Seattle and I'm really looking forward to attending. Hope to meet some of you there!
