    Hi Members,

Came across this forum as I'm looking into getting a straight razor.
Look forward into learning from your vast knowledge.

    Cheers,

Welcome to SRP! Since you are from CO, you may be interested in attending an upcoming meet in your neck of the woods. They are a really great way to knock down the steep learning curve in this endeavor. http://straightrazorpalace.com/get-t...-colorado.html

    Enjoy!

Cheers, Tom! Welcome to Straight Razor Place.
I don't know if you have been to the SRP library yet. If not, it has good info for folks starting out. Check out the Beginners Guide.

Thank you All for the warm welcome and super useful links, all are much appreciated.
I plan to attend the annual Denver meet this Sunday as well.
I'm not a stranger to the lathering up with a soap and brush, have been doing this for years. I always wanted to try a straight razor but never thought I would be able to learn. I have a vivid memory of my grandfather shaving every morning with a straight razor and me running away from a strop when in trouble... Unfortunately, he passed away before I was able to learn the art of shaving with a straight razor.
    Thanks again!
