    Default Hello from LA

    Hey there,

I've been meaning to get into wet shaving for a while. I was a little baffled by how much of a hobby some were making out of it until I got started, but I get it now. It's one of the only things we guys do to take care of ourselves, there is an historical significance to it, and there are so many more ins and outs to it than I expected at first.

I'm excited to learn and share more here.

    Cheers,

PS I actually posted about my starting experience here: http://straightrazorpalace.com/begin...ml#post1519457 and would appreciate any advice. Thank you.

    Welcome Tiz

One of the most beneficial moves you can make is to get with a member or mentor and do some hands-on. Go to a meet when you can.

BTW, I know you have a new straight already so you may or may not want to purchase another new one but you might. It is a good idea to have a spare for when you do send one out to be honed, you won't be stuck w/o one.
