    Default Hello From Central FL

    Hi,
Wanted to drop by to say hello and introduce myself.
I have been wet shaving for several year now. However, I am new to the world of straight razor shaving. A few mos. ago I bought myself a Filamonica razor at a flea market in Barcelona. That started my journey. I am going slow, and finish all my shaves with a SE razor (Mongoose or GEM). Hope to get to a point where I can start and finish with my straight. Thanks Harry

Welcome! I'm new here, too, and new to SR shaving, but everyone here is full of useful information and quick to reply.

“Engine46” thanks for the info. Yea, I am on my second strop. I had some light cuts on my first strop but only on the side of the strop (right side high end furtherest end out. and not in the middle). I am not sure what that means? Thanks for the references. Harry

Cuts at the ends where you flip usually means you haven't come to a complete stop in that direction before the flip
