Thanked: 0A traveller, a reader and now a SR shaver...
Hey y'all!
I'm 33, a software engineer currently living in Seattle. A few months ago I switched from shaving with a DE safety razor to using a cheapo shavette type razor with replaceable blades. I love my badger brush, and the smell of pre-shave oil and soap. I enjoy the tingly feeling of applying alum block as an aftershave. Wet shaving took me on the first step from having shaving as a chore, to having it be a morning ritual.
About a month or so ago I went the final step and got a real SR from Larry over at Whipped Dog.
I don't think I'm ever going back to an electric shaving thingamabob, to one of the fancy Gillette shavers or just about anything else.
Nice to be here among you folks!

Welcome to an Older But Better Way of Shaving!
I'm in Walla Walla and as has been said, there will be a Seattle Meet in September. Please try to make it as you will learn more in a few hours than you will in months of reading and watching videos! Trust me as I speak from experience.
Please keep reading the beginners section as that will allow you to have a knowledge base when you get to the meet and become introduced to some very knowledgeable guys.
I won't be able to make it but I really wish I could! There will be some great guys there with lots of knowledge and experience!
Again, Welcome! Let me know if there is anything I can do for you!
