    Hi,

I forgot to mention I agree with the idea that the coffin box that came with the BOSSING razor is not original to the BOSSING.

Do you have any evidence of the existence of a Bossing or HMC Yankee Shaver?

You are willing to accept that the box is not a mate to the razor, but not that the scales also are not original. Both components are equally interchangeable.

Flippers try to claim these chimeric razors to be unique and valuable when they are neither. The individual components in this razor are both of great quality and they are paired well, but that is all they are.

    Hi,

This repining issue is a thorny one. One thing I like about my hobby is all the things that are new to me and how much can be learned. Upon reading the replies and visiting the repining of scales video and pictures there seems not to be a reliable way of determining if pins are original or not. Which was my initial assumption in my post and probably leans towards being invalid since; one, the handle could have been replaced then repinned and two, the examples of the existence of a Yankee model of BOSSING is thin on the ground. Perhaps very thin. But this is good to know so as not to mislead anyone in the selling of this straight edge razor. But, obtaining information on this razor is why I am here.

Finally what I find interesting about the history of this shaver is that this razor was owed by someone in the past who could have taken the time to do this. Perhaps in the pursuit of that perfect shave or just to simply "flip-it" for someone else to enjoy!

    Regards, Stoystown

Type hmc cutlery into the search. Hopefully it should bring up what I found on a net search. Try these
