    Hi guys!
    My name is Lori and I am from Invercargill New Zealand
    I am a 40 year old female (yes, sorry not a guy!!) but I collect Straight razors (just getting started) and wanted to speak with like minded individuals etc (and to find out information etc)

    Hi Lori & no need to apologize. There is a Ladies Corner here too so all are welcome. Quite a few women have changed to using a straight razor because a person gets a much closer & smoother shave when one is honed & stropped right. A straight razor usually doesn't itch & burn like a cartridge razor will plus the cartridges are more expensive in the long run. Some have just switched from the cartridge type to a double edge which is fine but the best I have found is a straight razor. It will take some time getting used to but once you do, you won't go back. Great to have you here & if you have any questions just ask.

    Engine46, thanks for the heads up about Women using the straight razors to shave with also, I actually hadnt thought about it but am now going to look into it as I hate disposables!!! (bad for the environment too!!)
