Welcome! I too went from DE to straight. Good advise from others on technique. You'll find the longer blade is hard to do passes in all the directions you may have done with a DE. Also, pressure is much lighter than a DE as well. Angle lower too. That's what I noticed.
I bought my first from SRD, and then my second (my favorite so far, out of four straights I own) I got from the classifieds. Very happy with buying from there, and saved money as well.

Thanked: 28wow thanks that is great born the same year as myself. I will try to learn how to send aaaaaaaand do pictures. I am not very computer or tecknical. My kids tell me I am Amish. I just tell them we use to be until mom shaved her beard off.
