You might be ok since you were able to cut some free standing arm hairs after stropping but it couldn't hurt to send it out for a pro hone. It will give you some idea of what one should be like when honed right. You might want to get a spare for when you do send one out.

You need to look up Whipped Dog razors. Get a sight unseen for about $30. He will send you a shave ready straight that's not pretty, but will shave. You can use that one while you send your AOS out for honing. Good luck with it.
